HEAT DROP FIRST OF SEASON June 6, 2009 - By Larry Read Coquitlam BC - For the first time in the young Pacific Coast Soccer League Women's Reserve League season, the Kamloops Heat have experienced a loss. Playing on the coast, the Heat fell to the Coquitlam Metro Ford SC 2-1. It was the Heats first loss in five starts. Coquitlam moved to 4 and 1. Kelli Chamberlain scored the lone goal for the Heat. She capitalized on a corner kick from Alanna Bekkering. "We played a tough physicial game," said Heat GM David Lloyd. " Coquitlam was a good side. We dominated for long stretches of the match and created a number of great scoring opportunities. Coquitlam had limited chances but capitalized on them. " Kailee Mann (Clairmont Sec, Victoria, BC) played in goal for the Heat. Kamloops winds up their two game roadswing Sunday (June 7) against Richmond FC at Minaru Park. |
